ASI Board of Directors Vacancy (OLD)

This application is for vacant seats on the Associated Students, CSUF, Incorporated Board of Directors.

-2 Representative Seat(s) for College of Education (Term for 2017-2018 Academic Year--June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018, appointment effective immediately upon approval from ASI Board of Directors)
-1 Representative Seat(s) for College of Health and Human Development (Term for 2017-2018 Academic Year--June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018, appointment effective immediately upon approval from ASI Board of Directors)

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR AN INTERVIEW ON JUNE 1, 2017. Applicants will be contacted after submitting the application to schedule an interview time.

Eligibility:
1. Applicant must have a major or minor within the college they are applying for or meet the general and/or specific qualifications as stated in the bylaws (Education: A student interested in representing the College of Education does not have to be enrolled in the College but qualifies as a candidate if they meet the general and/or specific qualifications and is part of one of the following groups or programs: a. any phase of the STEP program, b. an active member of a club that is a member of the EICC affiliated with the College of Education, or c. a member of Freshman Future Teachers within Freshmen Programs)
2. Must currently have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and have earned a semester GPA of 2.0 during the semester immediately prior to application; successful applicant must maintain these standards throughout term
3. Must be able to attend weekly Board of Directors meetings during semesters (Tuesdays 1:15pm-3:45pm)
4. May be required to attend weekly ASI Committee meetings (Thursdays 1:15pm-3:45pm)
5. Must be able to attend college Inter-Club Council meetings
-Education ICC: Biweekly on Tuesdays 5:00pm-6:00pm
-HHD ICC: Fridays 10:00am-11:15am
6. Must be enrolled in each regular semester (Fall and Spring) with at least 6 units for undergraduate students or 3 units for graduate students
7. Must meet residency requirements as stated in the bylaws

General Responsibilities:
1. Act as a liaison between ASI and college constituents
2. Communicate regularly with clubs, organizations, and the Inter-Club Council within your college
3. Meet regularly with college Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
4. Make appropriate decisions on issues affecting CSUF students and the corporation of Associated Students

Successful applicant will be awarded a Student Leadership Scholarship.
